formspring.me -Cheers to 2010

What would your perfect day look like?

just being useless: like watching good series:-)

Ask me anything

Hi I just registered for formspringme...see i am a slave of this "social networking" sites. Well Im making the most of my time since I still have around a week to just lie around and be useless. I officially start my life(my accountant life) this coming January 11, CMA classes on the weekends and volunteer workshop for the Revenue Agency. Yeah I know, Grown-up stuff right! Well in one way or another we had to grow and do the jobs that pay. Anyways I am psyched to start with my busy grown up life yet I would totally miss hanging out in the web giving HYPES to my lookbook idols and Chictopia friends, stalking friends at Facebook, catching up series at Sidereel, reposting stuff at Tumblr and catching the latest scoop from celebrities to friends in Twitter.:-(aaahhh I hope everything that I mentioned pays an hourly rate, I bet I'll be a billionare!

Anywayz Im not loading up outfits I wore! just pictures on how I/we spend our new year drinking up martini and jumping at Dundas Square.(pardon the quality of the pic, I just copied this in Facebook because Im too lazy to get my USB, but those are SLR pics though)

Photobucket
martini wd fresh cherries..yummy...

yes I realized I do heart fresh cherries and when you dipped it in a martini and maybe leave it in there for about 10 minutes, the martini is so much sweeter and smoother to drink.

Photobucket
see I love these cherries!

Photobucket
CHEERS for 2010!

Photobucket
gulp gulp gulp

Photobucket
hahaha..drunk?..NAH

Well after we had an early media noche(new years eve dinner) we went straight to Downtown Toronto for the countdown..but unfortunately it was too cold and worst it was raining so we just stayed there for an hour and just went back home where we eat again and waited for 2010.:-)

Photobucket
my picture jumping like crazy in Dundas Square--i actually captioned this: ASTROgirl to the rescue...yes my winterboots is hot pink and I saw a girl wearing one of this and she was actually around 5 years old...lol

To end it up: My New Year Celebration was Wholesome. Spend time with my family eating good food and drinking Good wine:-)2009 was a good year for us, and Im hoping 2010 I know and claim will be a GREAT year for us!
Thank you so much for following my blog and thank you for letting me in your life. I hope that we will spend more new years to come.

This is the Season

What does this season mean to you???

Christmas is always a happy season for me..Winter break, parties, gifts, my birthday(on the 28th), and then party again..With parties is the dressing up part and that I absolutely love about this season!

I went to a party last weekend to a family friend and needless to say I was excited because I had to wear a green knitted dress i bought way before w/c I am clueless where and when to wear---its a bright green dress from H&M and really the first reaction of my sister when she first saw it was "OH its so green! you'll look like a tree."
Photobucket

Photobucket

do you think its too green? haha well I had always love the color green. I had a green gap bag before, green tees but a WHOLE green dress I never wore one. so the green dress was pretty kept in my locker not until last week end.

So I had to think of ways to tone down the color..so I decided to put on my brown faux leather jacket, brown tights and my favorite pair of shoes these days: my slouch cowboy boots.

Photobucket

anyways going back to what this season really means to me: it means being happy
that we are alive because JESUS our Lord and savior is born in order to die for our sins!
so Cheers to christmas!

Winter Break

YES! Fall semester is over! Though I know I wont be that happy with my results of my final exam because I think I blew it! I really had the best grade in my midterms (straight A's) and assignments but I kinda blocked out wd my finals. Maybe because I really did not concentrate. You see the night before I took it..my laptop crashed..and needless to say im very dependent wd my laptop! so I was really heartbroken at that time! yes up to know its still not well..I have to be here in the basement and doing my stuff with my sister's old reliable PC!
But I dont wanna wallow over my finals or over my laptop!!!!

so here I am making most of my winter break, and yes Im savoring this moment because I know I will be very next year cause ill doing my CMA Accelerated program so maybe I cant post entries more often..huhuhu...
anyways the past weeks I have been very happy with my purchases!!! Yes Im a SUCKER for bargains (well who doesn't?) Lucky enough I scored good finds:
Photobucket
the picture is a little blurry, its taken only from an iphone!

well here's a clearer pic though:

Photobucket

the dress I got from old navy just for $12..yes really!!!got it in clearance..I was very lucky enough to have my size (XS)-:-)
well for the other stuff that I wore:

Boots- ALDO
Bonnet- H&M
Dress- Old NAVY
BAG- ESCADA
the other stuff are my old stuff and i forgot the brands such as my necklace!

Then last sunday we went to an ALDO liquidation store downtown and they have this 50% off sale over the top of those reduced item!!!!
and I bought this uber nice: slouch cowboy boots for almost $60

Photobucket

I figured that this boots is a great pair for my faux leather jacket that I bought the other week.
Photobucket

so do you think it goes well?

Photobucket

it looks like Im on the subway waiting for my train but actually we were just in the mall's bathroom!
bag-ZARA
scarf- Urban behavior
jacket-Urban Behavior
pants-Aeropostale
boots-ALDO-(and did i say that this are my fave pair as of this moment)
and the other stuff insignificant

So you see being stylish (YES! I think Im stylish)without spending too much is possible. As much as I want to wear outfits from luxurious brands, I cant afford it right now( maybe in the future). Well its how you pair each one with another and how you carry yourself!
and YES this outfits I already posted it at chictopia...you can click on the link on the right side when facing your monitor..--my chictopia account and rate it!!!

and as you can observe I changed the template of my blog and I LOVE IT now! its much cleaner and more chic to look at!

Till my next post...

Why I love to Blog

Photobucket

“What writing practice, like Zen practice does, is bring you back to the natural state of mind…The mind is raw, full of energy, alive and hungry. It does not think in the way we were brought up to think-well-mannered, congenial.” —
– Natalie Goldberg

Yes! I love to blog and reading blogs...well the "To Blog" part is not quite that obvious, since I had not posted anything yet for this month. BUT yes I do love to blog...I used to keep journals and diaries and its pretty fun reading them especially my highschool diary where I literally draw in stick figures the position of my crush then me...it never fails to crack me up!

I used to monitor my blog on from where and who's reading just to know whether someone is interested with what Im blogging. But as you can see in my new template I totally removed the FeedJit(did i spelled that right?) live traffic feed because its straining to the eyes. yet i still kept the flag counter because its not distracting and i just love looking at the different flags..haha(so weird!)

Anywayz I realized the very reason why I write or blog....

I blog for my own satisfaction, and if people happen to share the same joy, happiness and satisfaction in the things that I love so GREAT! This is the reason why I removed it because without me knowing im being conscious on what I will write or will some readers be interested in this or that???but now that defeats the purpose why I revived this blog in the first place.

For my followers---Thank you so much for taking your time to read my post!!! I hope that you find a doze of happiness whenever you read my entries.

The Only Thing Constant

The only Thing constant in this world is taxes, death and change!

I read this quote from a taxation book back when i was in university. And Yes my blog post revolves around this. Well NOT about Taxation because like most all of you it just gives me headache. Death--ofcourse not! I dont like to think about it though I know that at this particular season *winter time* most people lost it and end their lives..well thats their drama and not mine. So this left me with CHANGE! Yes CHANGE, the thing that we love to happen or dread to happen.

For a change Im not gonna talk about luxurious items right now....Im going to talk about the changes that i've been dealing as of press time...

First things first with the outfit and stuff that I sport right now...

Photobucket
~all bundled up pic~

its been years since I really wanted to try on a trench coat but it was impossible when you're living in the Philippines --because people may think that i've lost! and sweating in a trench coat in a scorching all year summer heat is NOT HOT!

So the essentials that I had to buy when I came here in Toronto was a trench coat and boots!~ for picture worthy poses BUT I realized I loved my outfits back home..where in I dont need to bundle up whenever I go somewhere..its so tiring!

I miss wearing flip-flops! and shorts and just enjoy the beach and the sun. Sunshine at this time of the year only shows up for just around 4 to 5 hours. I used to hate the sun when I was back home but NOW Im a converted sun worshipper!

Photobucket
~pic taken at plantation bay -cebu~

yikes I have a lot of stuff to write about but I had to go....i'll update this post later...
thanx for reading though:-)

ITS NOT A BAG ITS A BIRKIN!

Hey guys Im once again blogging about luxury brands--and now my ultimate drooling episode is a Hermes handbag. Well for those who dont have an idea what it is, heres a short video on why a Hermes bag is one of a kind.

-I love it when the salesperson said: "Its not a Bag its a BIRKIN!

Generally, the price of a HERMES Birkin starts at approximately $5000 USD, not including sales taxes, but can reach 5- and sometimes 6-digit prices, particularly when the bag is constructed from exotic animal skins. Allegedly, the waiting list for a Birkin is over two years. In practice, however, many stores have a "call list" and an "order list", both usually consisting of clients who have in one way or another become "regulars" or have formed a relationship with a particular Sales Associate.

Here are some of the pics that I stumbled upon researching. and some tidbits about Hermes.

Hermès Birkin handbags are hand-built by experienced craftsmen, one of the primary factors contributing to the high price of all Hermès handbags. The production of each bag may take up to 48 work hours, translating into weeks. They are distributed worldwide to Hermès boutiques on intentionally unpredictable schedules and in even fewer reliable quantities, creating a sense of scarcity and exclusivity around the product.
The exterior of the bag can be made of a variety of leathers. One of the most expensive variations of the bag is made of saltwater crocodile skin. The price of these bags depends on the size of the scales. Bags with smaller scales cost much more than those with larger scales.--PETA must have been rallying against this!

The metallic hardware on a Birkin bag (the lock, keys, buckle hardware and feet studs) are typically plated with gold or other precious metals, such as palladium, which, unlike silver, will not tarnish. The metal lock may be covered with leather as an option when custom ordering. Certain notable Hermès clients have paved buckle hardware with diamonds, notoriously resulting in one black crocodile skin Birkin which notably sold for close to $65,000 at auction in 2005.Which I think is over the top---$65000 i could have the first installment of a fairly nice condo with that price.

And another trivia: Part of the price of all Hermès bags is the privilege to bring any authentic Hermès bag into any boutique to be sent to Paris for a "spa treatment". At a cost of several hundred dollars, any bag, no matter how old or abused, will be brought back to the best condition possible. Wow such VIP treatment!

So are you getting a Hermes bag?---Well me, I would like to have one or two Hermes Birkin bag in the future...Just this number because I think having more than 2 is too much even though I'll be super rich. But on second thought--Its not a BAG its a BIRKIN!

Its funny how I think of blogging this stuff...actually I just watched Manny Pacquiao-a famous Filipino boxer- latest fight and apparently earns a lot of million dollars from his fight..and my sister and her friends were chatting that her wife must be so lucky to be able to have the "perks" of buying anything she wants. But I think his wife already has dozens of Hermes though--
Well its really fun dreaming having this stuff...For us girls, generally speaking, its maybe the ultimate dream bag posession..having a Birkin is just like having a Ferrari which is one of the ultimate fantasy of men!*well I cannot speak for most men but thats the only comparison that I could think of right now.
